>Jack trained in best practices of conservation development with the Urban Land Institute, where he is a member of the Austin chapter of the Small Scale Development Council.

>Jack received degrees from the University of Oregon (MArch ‘ 99) and Vanderbilt University (BA ‘94).

>Prior to architecture schoool, Jack built green homes using tools such as rammed earth, straw bale and rainwater catchment.

>In his spare time, Jack makes art and writes music. His wife is an educator and author and his daughter, 13, is an amateur horseback barrel racer.
